We’re approaching the final stretch of the year. Maybe you had some wins Q1 – Q3. Maybe you had some super shitty months. Or maybe your kids were home with you all summer, and you tried to run a business while also being a mom–shout out to the moms! Whatever your situation, if the first half of the year didn’t go exactly as planned, it’s ok. You are not alone.
Right now is the perfect time to hit pause, reflect, and reassess what you want to accomplish through the end of the year. If your launches didn’t go as planned, or if you’re on track but you want to exceed your goals, now is the time to evaluate what needs to shift.
Why reflection is important!
Taking the time to reflect on your business progress is crucial, especially as you enter the final stretch of the year. This reflection period allows you to look back at your launches, marketing efforts, and sales strategies to evaluate what worked and what didn’t. If things didn’t go according to plan, don’t panic. Instead, see it as valuable data that can inform your next steps.
Ask yourself:
Armed with nine months of experience, you can approach the rest of the year with a renewed focus on what will drive results.
What You Need to Believe to Hit Your Goals
One of the most important elements in shifting your business outcomes is understanding the beliefs you hold about yourself and your business. Your beliefs directly shape the actions you take and the results you get. But often, we’re not even aware of how limiting beliefs may be sabotaging our progress.
For example, if you’ve been telling yourself, “I’m not experienced enough to attract high-paying clients,” that belief will manifest in your actions—or lack thereof. You might hesitate to market yourself or avoid launching that big offer. It’s crucial to identify and challenge these limiting beliefs to move past them.
Questions to consider:
Once you become aware of these blocks, you can start shifting your mindset and create beliefs that support your success.
Overcoming Blocks and Taking Action
Beliefs aren’t static; they can evolve as your business and life change. However, certain life circumstances, like juggling family obligations or dealing with burnout, may make it difficult to stay focused. This is where self-awareness becomes your superpower.
To overcome blocks, start by being honest with yourself about where your energy and beliefs are currently directed. If your energy is split between running a business and managing life responsibilities, it’s natural that your focus might waver. Recognize that this is okay, but also take time to uncover how this shift in focus may be impacting your business goals.
Some common blocks include:
Each of these blocks can paralyze you from moving forward. But by recognizing them, you can begin to reframe your thoughts and take meaningful action.
Set Your Strategy for Q4 & Q1 of the next year!
As you move into Q4 and beyond, it’s time to take action. Start by creating a plan for the next six months. If six months feels overwhelming, break it down month by month.
Steps to reassess and plan:
Remember, doing the same thing over and over will give you the same results. Now is the time to reassess what needs to change in both your strategy and your mindset to hit those next-level goals.
Final Thoughts
Shifting your business results for the final quarter of the year is about much more than just strategy. It’s about aligning your beliefs with your goals, embracing the experimental nature of entrepreneurship, and being relentlessly self-aware. You are capable of being the CEO who drives their business to success—but it starts with uncovering what’s holding you back.
As you move forward, stay committed to showing up, tweaking your strategy, and constantly checking in with your mindset. You’ve got this!
